The Coronation Street stars seem to confirm the off-screen romance with a heartwarming selfie

Coronation Street The stars seem to have confirmed their romance after a sweet birthday selfie was posted on Instagram.

Rumors of a romance between Georgia Taylor and Charlie de Melo have been doing the rounds for a while. The couple were married on-screen before Charlie’s character Imran Habeeb died last year after his wife Toyah crashed the car they were in.

In the Instagram post, Georgia posted a photo of her feet atop Arthur’s Seat, an ancient volcano in Edinburgh, Scotland, as well as one with her former co-star. She captioned the images: “Birthday present at Arthur’s Seat.”

While Millie Gibson, who played Kelly, Toyah and Imran’s adopted daughter, wrote, “Ahhh you two,” complete with two heart emojis.

Last year, Georgia, who recently shared a hair transformation, opened up about her long-term future on Coronation Street after a year of intense stories.

Georgia talked about loving the intensity of the storyline involving Imran’s death and how it allowed her to show a side of Toyah that we don’t normally see.

“I absolutely loved it, I’ve been clamoring for this for about two years. Not this specific story, but something like that that’s textured and complicated and multi-faceted,” he said.

“I’ve talked about this, but I think I had a couple of years where Toyah was very passive, very forgiving, I felt like she became a doormat and I just wanted to see her get a little fire back and a little spark.”

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and airs on ITVX.
