This is your reminder that the version 1.2.0 update for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet has been officially released on Switch.
After some patch notes released a few weeks ago, Nintendo has now shared the updated ones. The most notable additions include some “newly added features” that we now know as DLC eShop links for Scarlet & Violet.
Other than this, there are some feature tweaks, bug fixes in Tera Raid Battles and Battles, and some “other” changes as well. Here’s the full rundown, courtesy of Nintendo’s support page:

Thank you for playing the Pokémon series.
On Monday, February 27, we released the version 1.2.0 update for exclusive Nintendo Switch software titles. Scarlet Pokemon and pokemon purple.
With this update, we’ve added new features, new functionality for Pokémon Boxes, and fixes for bugs that affected game progress, among other updates. We will continue to take your feedback very seriously and take steps to improve your gaming experience.
newly added features
- The Nintendo eShop page for The hidden treasure of area zero downloadable content for Scarlet Pokemon game or the pokemon purple The game can now be accessed through the main menu. For more details about The hidden treasure of area zero DLC, visit The Pokemon Company.
- Trainers can now enjoy Online Competitions and Friendly Competitions in the Battle Stadium, and registrations are now open for an official Online Competition: Paldea Prologue.
- Players can now connect their games to Pokémon GO.
Feature Settings
- Additional functionality has been added for Pokémon Boxes:
- From a Pokémon’s overview, players can now change nicknames, marks, held items, and titles related to the Pokémon’s mark or ribbon, as well as reorder moves, make Pokémon remember or forget moves, and use TM.
- Players can now also trade held items by pressing the Y button when in the held items view.
- Players can now select all boxes while moving Pokémon or objects in the party and boxes look and held items view.
- when in the battle gear view, Pokémon in your Boxes that are assigned to a Battle Team will now have their icons displayed in a darker shade if those Pokémon are members of the currently displayed Battle Team.
- The news screen will be displayed when you connect to the Internet from the main menu, just like when you connect to the Internet from the Poké Portal.
Error correction
Tera Raid Battles
- A bug could prevent an opposing Tera Pokémon’s HP gauge from visually reflecting damage dealt by certain moves (such as Play Rough) or damage dealt at the same time certain status conditions are applied, causing the HP gauge to of the Pokémon Tera fluctuates in an unusual way. . This has been fixed.
- A bug that caused all Pokémon on your side to faint at once despite their HP gauges indicating they still had HP could occur in Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles against Pokémon with the most powerful Mark. This has been fixed.
- A bug that temporarily prevented a player from inputting any input into the game could occur if a Tera Pokémon performed certain actions while the player was choosing the target of its move. This has been fixed.
- Errors can occur when someone connecting to a Tera Raid Battle sees a different Pokémon on their screen than what the host sees. This has been fixed.
- A bug could occur where players joining Tera Raid Battle from the Tera Raid Battles search screen would be taken to Tera Raid Battle against a different Pokémon than the one they saw on the screen. This has been fixed.
- Under certain circumstances, a bug could occur that would cause Tera Raid Battle crystals to stop spawning for a certain amount of time. This has been fixed.

- Type matchups against Pokémon that have fainted will no longer appear when selecting a move or target during double battles.
- Fixed a bug where a Zoroark that had Terrastallized and was disguised as another Pokémon via its Illusion Ability could have been identified as a Zoroark using the check target option.
- Fixed a bug where move-type pairings targeting a Zoroark that had terrastalized and was disguised as another Pokémon via its Illusion Ability would display based on the type of Pokémon Zoroark was disguised as, rather than the type of Pokémon Zoroark was disguised as. Tera type from Zoroark.
- Fixed a bug where the stats of a Dondozo with a Tatsugiri in his mouth would increase when Dondozo used Order Up when the move should have been negated (for example, by an opponent using Protect).
- Fixed a bug where Destiny Bond’s effects wouldn’t trigger if a Pokémon was terrastalized the turn after using Destiny Bond and then fainted.
lights up after using Destiny Bond and then passes out, Destiny Bond’s effects will not activate. This is a bug and will be fixed.
Other
- Fixed an issue that made the game prone to crashing in certain places. As a result of this fix, fewer Pokémon and people may show up in certain cities or in the wild.
- Fixed a bug where a Pokémon that is not part of the Paldea Pokédex would appear as registered in the Paldea Pokédex after being obtained through a Link Trade.
- Certain actions prevented the main character’s expressions from changing until the game was closed and reopened. This has been fixed.
- An error occurred for some players after Ranked Battles Season 1, where visiting the Ranked Battles screen immediately after the season results were calculated caused an error right after these players received their rewards. After this bug, players were unable to participate in any more ranked battles. This has been fixed.
- Fixed a bug where a player might not have received the Master Rank Ribbon if they had registered multiple Battle Gear but did not use the Battle Gear in the first slot when winning Ranked Battles in the Master Ball Tier.
- Fixed a bug where a Pokemon you caught might not have listened to your commands according to what is written in the profile app (“Pokémon caught at Lv. XX or lower will listen to your commands”) if that Pokemon was Link Traded back to you by another player.
- We fixed a bug where new information might not have been added to your Pokédex after receiving a shiny Pokémon or a Pokémon caught by a Trainer playing in a different language via Surprise Trade if you already had that species registered in his Pokedex.
- Items such as Poké Balls could have been displayed in certain areas inadvertently. This has been fixed.
- Bystanders are no longer shown during certain battles that take place in cities during the main story.
- Other bug fixes have been implemented.
