Marty and David have left the show?

Victim spoilers follow.

Victim aired a shocking triple outing tonight (March 18) as Robyn Miller, David Hide and Marty Kirkby left the show.

Robyn succumbed to the injuries she sustained in last week’s episode (more on that here) and a grief-stricken David and Marty decided to leave the ED afterwards.

While it’s pretty clear there’s no going back for Robyn (RIP!), what about Marty and David, and even Charlie? We have all the answers below.

Are Marty and David gone?

<BBC

Yeah. digital spy can confirm that tonight marks the end of the road for nurses Marty and David after their strike at the ED.

Marty was the first to confront Jacob early in the episode, blaming him for Robyn’s distress as she got into the car after a long shift.

David also realized that he is no longer prepared to do a job like this; the system is broken. He inspired Marty and many of the other nurses to walk out of the ED in protest, hoping that if enough of them made a statement, something would have to change.

Resolute, David and Marty were last seen hugging, before leaving Holby ED for the last time.

While Jason Durr had announced his departure as David last year, Shaheen Jafargholi’s own departure will come as a surprise to viewers, as it had not been announced prior to the broadcast.

The same goes for Amanda Henderson, whose exit as Robyn was also kept under wraps.

Jason joined the show as the good-natured nurse David in 2016. Since then, he’s been involved in some big storylines, from David’s bipolar disorder and subsequent breakup, to his relationship and marriage to Rosa Cadenas.

More recently, David has also taken center stage in a shocking storyline involving his son Ollie, who was murdered after carrying out a devastating school shooting with his accomplice Rob.

Jason confirmed that he was leaving. Victim in a post on Instagram last year.

He wrote: “After 6 years of playing the wonderfully complex #NurseDavidHide @bbccasualtyofficial, I’ve hung up my scrubs. Forged steadfast friendships, learned to pronounce Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty and completely defied my apprehension. Here are the new adventures (hopefully with less blood) & guts. ).”

Shaheen, formerly known for playing EastEnders schoolboy Shakil Kazemi, joined the show as Marty in 2018.

Her biggest storylines have centered on her fractured relationship with her father Graham, her friendship with Robyn, and her previous relationship with her co-worker Adi, which saw them decide to explore surrogacy.

What about Charlie?

He will stay. For now at least. Phew.

While Charlie also considered leaving, he eventually changed his mind after hearing Robyn’s last words in a voicemail.

After returning to the ED, Charlie made it clear that he would stay, but only out of respect for Robyn, not Jacob.

Charlie’s future on the show seems secure for now, but the departures don’t necessarily end there…

Victim broadcast these scenes on Saturday March 18 on BBC One. The show is also broadcast on BBC iPlayer.
