Coronation Street star Lisa George has spoken about her friendship with several co-stars on the soap.
The actress, who plays Beth Sutherland on the show, spoke with inner soap about his relationship with his co-stars and admitted that he missed one former cast member in particular.
I miss Katie McGlynn [who played Sinead Tinker] “I feel like Katie and I had something really special,” she revealed. “It sounds weird, but we had a closeness and trust as actors that I haven’t had with anyone else.

“It was very special, so it was heartbreaking to do Sinead’s cancer scenes. We are close outside of work, even now,” she added of the actress, who left the soap opera in 2020 after seven years in the role.
Speaking of her current colleagues, Lisa reserved praise for Cherylee Houston and Kate Ford, who play Izzy Armstrong and Tracy McDonald, respectively.
Cherylee [and I] they have been friends for years. [She] she was protecting herself in lockdown, so when I visited her, I stood outside her house. But now she’s back and we need to reconnect,” she said. “My other very close friend is Kate Ford, we share a dressing room.”

Beth has been in trouble lately, with her relationship with Kirk under strain following the revelation that she slapped Hope Stape.
Speaking about the story, Lisa praised the work of on-screen husband Andrew Whyment, saying that he made the work environment comfortable.
“In the nicest possible sense, it’s like a pair of slippers. I feel very comfortable working with Andy,” she said. “He arrives on time, he knows his lines, he is always up to date. If I’m not, he’ll always point me in the right direction. I can completely trust him.”
